These are present at that place to warn or stop the cars from passing the rails as there would be train passing through it. Hence, there are many safety measures which these would be taking care of. Other places where you will find the boom gates are checkpoints. At the time of some big criminal happenings when the police needs to check each and every vehicle, these types of gates are very beneficial. Moreover, these are found at the parking areas to avoid confusions and collisions.

With the pass of time, these gates are even used for the protection of the houses from strangers and unwanted visitors. There could be unauthorized people coming in and parking their vehicles in your parking area without your permission. If you have the boom gate installed at your entrance, there would be no one allowed inside without your permission. In the twenty-first century, when you have so many crimes happening, you need to be very particular about your security.
